Blackberry 8820 – built for business

The Blackberry 8820 smart phone is great for anyone needing a smart phone that is packed with powerful applications for business users.  While the 8820 from Blackberry certainly will not break any records for trim design, it certainly is attractive and remains smaller than many of its competitors.  This Blackberry mobile phone also has a nice display which is over two inches in size.

The 8820 is 114 mm long by 66 mm wide and it is 14 mm thick.  The overall weight of the device is 136 grams.  This smart phone is packaged with a battery which will supply its users with around 5 hours of talk time or around 520 hours on standby.

Surprisingly, the Blackberry 8820 does not provide support for 3G networks which means the internet browsing users experience might be a little slower.  One advantage that this smart phone does have is built in Wi-Fi support.  This can help to increase the speed of your browsing.

Some users might be disappointed to know that the Blackberry 8820 does not come with an integrated camera.  As this is a device designed for business users, it might be less of a drawback.

Anyone looking for a great GPS device can turn to their Blackberry 8820.  Users can use this device in conjunction with Blackberry Maps to find their way to a given destination.

The Blackberry 8820 comes with several of the standard applications that fans of RIM have come to enjoy.  This includes things like easy to use lists and a great organizer.

  • I think that they could have put a camera on the BB and it would have sold more units. I do agree though that it’s a great phone

  • I think Solly is right, if RIM put a semi decent camera on their phones then they would sell a lot more units. They are getting better with this though.

  • In the past few years blackberry’s have been a lot better than they were in the first few years. I love the touch screen that they do now.
