The HTC Touch HD is one of eight phones offered by HTC Mobile Phones. Of these eight phones, seven are touch phones and the HTC Touch HD has the least amount of hardware buttons. At first glance, the HTC Touch HD is sleek and appealing, but really all of the HTC mobile phones tend to be sleek so this isn’t surprising.
When you really start to examine the HTC Touch HD, you’ll find a 3.8 inch screen that has an 800 by 480 pixel resolution. This is great for those who may need to squint in order to see anything on the screen from a movie to a text message. The screen also makes using Windows Mobile easier. No stylus is needed with the HTC Touch HD because the icons are larger which means a simple touch of your finger is all you need.
HTC Mobile Phones also made the HTC Touch HD only .47 inches in thickness which makes it easy to carry around. The interface is helpful as well since it displays the most used tasks including emails, music, and web surfing.
The phone has decent call quality. The phone was designed to be used within Europe so those who travel to the US may find the call quality to be diminished. The phone relies on the 3G network and presently the 3G networks in North America do not support it well enough.
The media quality of the HTC Touch HD is good but could use a bit more storage for files depending on how often you’ll use the multimedia capabilities. Despite the few drawbacks of the HTC Touch HD, the phone is a good phone that delivers well for its price.
