LG Chocolate BL40 Overview

The LG Chocolate BL40 phone has real chic with lots of goodies.  It has a super-wide screen, with fantastic colour, GPS, a 5-megapixel camera with flash and GM radio.  The screen recognises multi-touch commands so you can zoom in and out by spreading your fingers.

The real plus to this phone is the 4-inch screen that adds a striking quality to the already classy handset.  It is especially noticeable when you use the functions like the camera or video playback.  The camera functions are simple to operate, you can geo-tag a picture with a couple of pats and you switch sepia effects or image stabilisation on and off easily.

Video-playback is excellent but the screen has black bars at the sides and the content looks stretched.  You lose a lot of image if you view web pages in landscape, and you really are better sticking to portrait.

The width is handy though when it comes to texting as the screen is wide enough to have messages in one half and contacts on the other.  There is a slight delay with the touchscreen, so if you’re an avid fan of constant messaging, then this is not the phone for you.

The phone comes with GPS and also a built-in FM transmitter so you can listen to your phone tracks through the stereo in your car.
