Nokia 6500 Classic Review

The Nokia 6500 Classic is a mid-price mobile phone that is not flashy by any means.  The phone, which is approximately 108 mm by 45 mm by 9 mm, is slim but the size is large for a mobile phone and reminds me more of a home cordless phone.  The Nokia 6500 Classic is also heavier than some other phones weighing in at 3.31 ounces.

The display is about 51 mm in size and supports 16.7 million colours.  The camera offers seven resolution settings, quality settings, self-timer, digital zoom, multi-shot mode, night mode, and adjustable white balance.  The picture quality is average for a mobile phone but much better than some other Nokia mobile phones such as the Nokia 6301.  There is much less noise and pictures tend to be less blurry as well as having more true to real-life colours.

Other features were average at best, such as the music and call quality.  Most calls went through fine with minimal disruptions and there were very few dropped calls.  In most places it is easy to get a signal.  However, when you consider the price of £247 you can get a better phone for your money.  Granted with a new line rental your price may be substantially lower, but regardless there are a number of phones on the market that offer a higher quality resolution, better quality photos, better call quality, and a number of other features that are not available on the Nokia 6500 Classic.
