As the name suggests, the Samsung Beat DJ is a phone for the music lover. All the features of this music-orientated phone are of high quality, from the audio sound to the simple touch screen function keys.
The handset has a fantastic music system and plays in the popular MP3 format. It has integrated stereo sound and a 3.5mm jack that allows you to plug in a wide range of compatible headphones.
The phone supports 3G HSDPA; that means that access to web browsing and data transfer are all high speed wherever you are in the world. The internal memory is 50 MG but adding a memory card can increase this to 16 gigabytes.
The Beat DJ also has an integrated GPS system that allows you to geo tag your photographs – not only time them but place the location – and allows you to navigate from point A to point B effortlessly.
The camera isn’t great; it is only three megapixels but, as with all mobile phones, it does the job when you don’t have your dedicated digital camera on you at the perfect picture opportunity. It has smile detection and a red eye reduction option.
It also can record using the video function recording at 15 frames per second. Video conferencing is also available.
The phone has access to the web and allows you to surf your favourite sites. As a further communication tool it also has a mobile email service.
