The new i900 Omnia from Samsung is proving to be a mobile phone that is in high demand. This Samsung mobile phone is being hailed as the answer to the Apple iPhone, which has caused such a stir in recent months.
Depending on where you purchase the device, the internal memory that is included will vary. Samsung i900 Omnias purchased through Orange will have 16 gigabytes, while other mobile phone providers may only have 8 gigabyte versions.
The Samsung i900 Omnia is fairly small, being just 112mm long x 56.9mm wide x 12.5mm thick and weighing 127g. The battery that comes as standard is impressive and should allow approximately 10 hours of talk time and 17 days on standby.
The Samsung i900 Omnia comes with Windows Mobile PocketPC, which will help to keep users organised in an environment that most are already familiar with, at least to some degree. Support is also available for email via Microsoft Exchange.
The phone has an impressive display, which has been integrated with touch screen technology for easy navigation. The only two hard coded keys are the ‘talk’ and ‘end’ buttons, which are located towards the bottom of the device.
The Samsung i900 Omnia comes with a built in 5 megapixel camera that has plenty of bonus features, including face recognition and autofocus. Users will also notice the motion detection feature, as the i900 Omnia easily transitions from portrait to landscape mode.
